Book Project: Russia's Grand Strategy in the 21st Century

How does a second-rate regional power with aspirations to remake the global order challenge the dominance of an overwhelmingly superior adversary?  This is the strategic challenge faced by Russia in the 21st as its leaders seek to channel limited means into low-cost but high-impact ways in order to achieve the core national security objectives that constitute Russia's grand strategic ends.  This book analyzes the development of Russian grand strategy since Vladimir Putin assumed the Russian presidency in 2000, tracing the evolution of the ways and means by which Moscow has sought to achieve its highly revisionist strategic ends.
